Smoke (Al-Dukhaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha. Mim. 1 By the Scripture that maketh plain 2 We revealed it on a Blessed Night, for We were intent on warning; 3 In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom, 4 Amran (i.e. a Command or this Quran or the Decree of every matter) from Us. Verily, We are ever sending (the Messengers), 5 as a mercy from your Lord, He hears all and knows all, 6 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye would be sure. 7 There is no Allah save Him. You will be pursued. 23 (Cross and) leave the sea undisturbed. The (pursuing) hosts will surely be drowned," 24 How many of the gardens and fountains have they left! 25 And the cornlands and the goodly sites 26 and pleasant things in which they delighted! 27 Even so; and We caused to inherit them another people. 28 Neither heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they respited; 29
