Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
