The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
