Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
