Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
We have set in heaven constellations and decked them out fair to the beholders, 16 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil: 17 but if anyone eavesdrops, he is pursued by a bright flaming fire. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 And We have provided sustenance for you on it and also for those of whom you are not the providers. 20 There is nothing except that its treasuries are with Us and We do not send it down except in a known measure. 21 We send impregnating winds and send down water from the sky for you to drink and you have no (control over its) storage. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 And indeed, We know the first generations of you who had passed away, and indeed, We know the present generations of you (mankind), and also those who will come afterwards. 24 It is your Lord who will gather them. He is all wise and all knowing. 25
