Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 And recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a man from ringing clay of loam moulded. 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance. 31 "How is it, O Iblis," said (the Lord), "you did not join those who bowed in homage?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 Allah said: "For sure you are granted respite 37 Till the period of the time made known. 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 except the devoted amongst Your worshippers. 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 and you have no authority over My servants except the erring ones who follow you. 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
