The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
