1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Indeed this is really true the people of the hell quarrelling among themselves. 64
