Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
