Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
