And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Indeed, all things We created with predestination. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
