The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
