The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
