The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
