The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
