Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
