Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Have you seen the one who calls the religion a lie? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and feels no urge to feed the needy. 3 Woe, then, to those who pray, 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Who do (good) to be seen, 6 and deny people the articles of common necessity. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
