When the messengers came to Lot and his family, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 "So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded." 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 [Lout (Lot)] said: "Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not. 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they are indeed straying in their intoxication. 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced. 76 Indeed there is a portent in this for those who believe. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
