Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
