Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
