The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 by the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
