Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
