Say (O Muhammad SAW): " My Lord! If You would show me that with which they are threatened (torment), 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 "Are you not those to whom My revelations were recited, and you dubbed them as lies?" 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
