The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
