Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. 16 And We have guarded it from every Satan damned. 17 Except for he who steals the listening and is then pursued by a visible flame. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 to provide you and those for whose sustenance you are not responsible, with the necessities of life. 20 With Us is the source of everything and We do not send it down except in a known quantity. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 It is We who give life and We who give death, and We are the One who will abide. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 Your Lord will resurrect them all; He is All-wise and All-knowing. 25
