So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
