Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
