When Moses said to his servant (Joshua): "I will not give up till I reach the confluence of two oceans, or I will journey on and on." 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 So when they had passed beyond it, [Moses] said to his boy, "Bring us our morning meal. We have certainly suffered in this, our journey, [much] fatigue." 62 He said:"Do you remember when we betook ourselves to the rock? I indeed forgot the fish, none but Shaitan (Satan) made me forget to remember it. It took its course into the sea in a strange (way)!" 63 'This is what we have been seeking' said he, and they retraced their footsteps 64 Then they found one of Our servants unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and We had taught him knowledge proceeding from Us. 65 Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? 66 He (Khidr) said: "Verily! You will not be able to have patience with me! 67 And how can you have patience in that of which you have not got a comprehensive knowledge? 68 Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." 69 He said, “Therefore if you stay with me, do not ask me about anything until I myself mention it to you.” 70
