And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
