He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 you attend to him, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and in awe [of God] 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 How We pour water in showers 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 Olives and dates, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
