The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
