SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
