Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 and before him We created the jinn from smokeless fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 Except Iblis (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 He said: "It does not behove of me to prostrate myself before a human being whom You have created out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud." 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 He answered: 'You are among those reprieved 37 Until the Day of the time well-known." 38 He said, "My Lord, since You have let me go astray. I shall make the path of error seem alluring to them on the earth and shall mislead them all, 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated." 44
