The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
