Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 to burn therein. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
