The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 And has cast out all that was in it and became empty, 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 The reckoning of those whose Book of records will be given into their right hands 7 He truly will receive an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his family in joy! 9 But as for those whose Book of records will be given behind their backs, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; 17 And the moon when it grows full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
