THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
