The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 By the angels driving away. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
