No, by the moon! 32 By the receding night 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
