Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
