The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
