Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god other than God? Exalted be God over what they ascribe as partners [to Him]! 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell). 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
