We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
