Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
