And so, they who are bent on denying the truth are saying: "What! After we have become dust - we and our forefathers - shall we [all,] forsooth, be brought forth [from the dead]? 67 "Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients." 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 And you will not guide the blind out of their error; and none listen to you except those who accept faith in Our signs, and they are Muslims. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
