Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” 25 Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. 26 So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. 37 And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, 38 In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
