Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 and guarded them from every accursed Satan 17 except for those who stealthily try to listen to the heavens, but who are chased away by a bright flame. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
