The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
