Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and when the earth brings forth its burdens 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 Because your Lord has commanded it. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
