The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
